Prosper Global is the new name and identity of Mercy Corps, a U.S.-based global humanitarian organization founded in 1979. The organization works with communities affected by conflict, climate change, poverty and other crises, supporting locally led solutions that strengthen resilience and create opportunities for long-term prosperity. Mercy Corps announced the rebrand in March 2026, with a phased transition beginning in September 2026. The change does not create a new legal organization: Prosper Global will continue Mercy Corps' existing mission, programs, partnerships and charitable activities while presenting a broader focus on helping communities recover, prosper and shape their own futures.
