Stations like PTV Krater were associated with the Polonii 1 network of independent TV channels that emerged after the end of communist‑era broadcasting restrictions in Poland. Due to regulatory issues and shifts in the Polish media landscape, PTV Krater ceased regular broadcasts around 1994, making it one of several short‑lived regional channels of that era.
