About the brand ❤️
Qoros was a Chinese automotive manufacturer headquartered in Shanghai, created in 2007 as a joint venture between China’s Chery Automobile and Israel-linked investors to build cars blending international design and quality standards with Chinese manufacturing. Its first production vehicle, the compact Qoros 3, debuted in 2013 and achieved a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating, a notable achievement for a Chinese brand. Over the next decade, Qoros expanded its model lineup with sedans and SUVs and developed international design and engineering centers. Ownership later shifted toward the Baoneng Group, which became the controlling shareholder. Despite early promise, the company struggled in global and domestic markets, ultimately entering bankruptcy proceedings in 2026, effectively ending its independent operations after nearly two decades.
