Società Sportiva Lazio, commonly known as S.S. Lazio, is a historic Italian professional football club based in Rome, Lazio. Founded on 9 January 1900 originally as an athletics club, it quickly embraced football and has become one of Italy’s long-standing teams in top-flight competition. The club plays home matches at the iconic Stadio Olimpico alongside city rivals and competes in Serie A, Italy’s highest league. Lazio’s colors are sky blue and white, inspired by Greek Olympian heritage, and its emblem features an eagle — symbolizing strength and Roman legacy.
