Its history can be traced to 1933 and the development of the British dairy businesses that eventually became part of Dairy Crest. In 2019, Saputo acquired Dairy Crest and subsequently renamed the business Saputo Dairy UK. The company produces and markets well-known British dairy brands including Cathedral City, Clover and Country Life, as well as dairy ingredients. It operates several manufacturing facilities across the United Kingdom and remains an important producer of cheese, butter and other dairy products.
