Tampereen Ilves (Finnish for “Lynx”) is a prestigious Finnish multi-sport club founded in 1931 in Tampere. It encompasses teams in ice hockey, football, futsal, floorball, and ringette, serving over 5,000 members—making it Finland’s largest sports club. The men’s professional and U20 hockey teams operate under Ilves-Hockey Oy, established in 2000. The ice hockey team is among the most successful in Finland, capturing 16 national titles. Ilves plays its home hockey games in the Nokia Arena, their current venue following decades at Hakametsä.
