TBD was a cryptocurrency and decentralized finance division created by Block, Inc. in 2021. Its mission was to build an open developer platform focused on Bitcoin, enabling non-custodial, permissionless financial services and infrastructure. The project worked on initiatives such as decentralized identity systems and tbDEX, a proposed decentralized exchange aimed at simplifying access to digital assets.
