About the brand ❤️
The Texas A&M–Corpus Christi Islanders are the athletic teams representing Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi in Corpus Christi, Texas. Owned and operated by the university within the Texas A&M System, the Islanders launched their modern athletics program in 1997, quickly ascending to NCAA Division I by 2002 and joining the Southland Conference in the 2006–07 season. Based on a barrier island—hence the “Islanders” nickname and mascot “Izzy”—they compete across multiple venues like the American Bank Center and Dugan Wellness Center. Their 16 varsity teams span sports such as basketball, baseball, beach volleyball, soccer, tennis, and more. Known for rapid growth, community support, and competitive spirit, the Islanders have become a vibrant symbol of collegiate athletics in South Texas.
