The Philadelphia Inquirer is an American daily newspaper based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1829 by John R. Walker and John Norvell as The Pennsylvania Inquirer, it is one of the oldest continuously published newspapers in the United States. The publication covers local and national politics, business, education, crime, sports, culture, science and international affairs, with a strong focus on the Philadelphia region. The Inquirer has received numerous Pulitzer Prizes and has developed a substantial digital operation alongside its print edition.
