The Roald Dahl Story Company (RDSC) is a UK-registered entertainment and rights management organisation responsible for preserving, protecting and expanding the legacy of beloved author Roald Dahl’s stories and characters. Incorporated in December 2017 and headquartered in London, the company manages the copyrights, trademarks and global licensing of Dahl’s works across publishing, film, television, theatre, games, immersive experiences and consumer products. In September 2021, the RDSC was acquired by Netflix, which now partners with the company to develop new adaptations and creative projects based on Dahl’s extensive catalogue, including animated and live-action productions that bring classics like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda and Fantastic Mr. Fox to new audiences.
