About the brand ❤️
The Summit League is a U.S. collegiate athletic conference competing under the umbrella of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I. Founded in 1982 as the Association of Mid-Continent Universities, it was renamed the Mid-Continent Conference in 1989, and adopted its current name in 2007. Headquartered in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the league currently comprises a group of Midwestern and Great Plains universities that compete in 19 championship sports across men’s and women’s athletics. The Summit League organizes regular season competitions and championships, offering schools from smaller- and mid-sized markets a platform to compete at a high NCAA level. Over decades, the league has evolved through membership changes and rebranding — but continues to operate, providing student-athletes with competition, exposure, and scholarship opportunities.
