Translink is Queensland's integrated public transport brand, coordinating bus, train, ferry and tram services, primarily across South East Queensland. Its origins date to 1993, when TransInfo was established by Queensland Transport to provide public transport information. The TransLink name was introduced in 2003 as part of the development of an integrated transport system. In 2008, the TransLink Transit Authority was established, and in 2014 its functions were incorporated into the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads. The Translink brand continues to provide journey planning, ticketing, passenger information and network coordination.
