Tuenti is a Spanish technology brand founded in 2006, initially established as a social networking platform that became particularly popular among young people in Spain. It allowed users to create personal profiles, share photographs and videos, exchange messages and communicate with friends. In 2010, the company was acquired by Telefónica, which subsequently developed Tuenti into a mobile telecommunications brand offering affordable mobile plans and digital communication services. Although its original social network and Spanish mobile operations were discontinued, the Tuenti brand has continued to be associated with Telefónica's telecommunications activities in other markets.
