About the brand ❤️
UEFA Euro 2016 was the 15th edition of the UEFA European Football Championship, the quadrennial men’s football tournament organised by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), headquartered in Nyon, Switzerland. It took place in France from 10 June to 10 July 2016 and was the first European Championship to feature 24 teams in the finals, expanded from 16. Twenty-three teams qualified through UEFA’s European qualifying competition, with France automatically included as host. A total of 51 matches were played across ten cities and venues, culminating in Portugal winning its first European title with a 1–0 victory over France in the final at the Stade de France. The tournament showcased elite European international teams and high-profile players in one of football’s premier continental championships, forming part of a long-running competition series that began in 1960 and continues unabated, with later editions in 2020 and beyond.
