VG Entertainment (previously Vostok Games) is a Ukrainian video game development studio founded in March 2012 by former developers from GSC Game World, including Oleg Yavorsky. The studio is based in Kyiv, Ukraine, though legally registered in Cyprus (VG Entertainment Ltd, registration number HE370385). It gained recognition for developing Survarium, a free-to-play online shooter first released in early access in 2015, and Fear the Wolves, a battle royale game released in 2019. In July 2023, the company rebranded from Vostok Games to VG Entertainment, in part to disassociate from Soviet/Russian connotations. The studio continues to work on new projects under its current name, retaining its focus on immersive shooter-type games and evolving toward AAA scale.
