Virtus.pro (often abbreviated “VP”) is one of the oldest and most decorated esports organizations in the Eastern European and global scenes. Founded on 1 November 2003 in Russia, it has fielded teams in many titles, including Counter-Strike (now CS2), Dota 2, Rainbow Six Siege, and others. In 2015, it received major investment (over USD 100 million) through USM Holdings / ESforce Holding, which helped it expand. After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, due to sanctions and tournament restrictions, Virtus.pro’s ownership and operations were transferred to Armenian ownership in 2022 under Aram Karamanukyan, with headquarters established in Yerevan. Its CEO is Nikolai Petrossian. The org continues competing at the highest level, claiming multiple Majors in Dota 2 and CS and maintaining a significant presence in esports community, with rosters, academies, and active participation across many games.
