About the brand ❤️
Windows Live Search was Microsoft’s U.S.-based internet search engine, launched in beta in March 2006 and officially released on September 12, 2006, as part of the Windows Live suite. Headquartered at Microsoft’s Redmond, Washington campus, it aimed to unify personalized web, image, news, local and desktop facets under a single branded experience. The service was owned and operated by Microsoft. In March 2007, search was detached from the broader Windows Live umbrella and rebranded as Live Search, before eventually becoming Bing in June 2009.
