Yandex Q was an online question-and-answer service created to help users pose questions across a wide range of topics and receive answers from other users or experts. It began operations in March 2015 after Yandex acquired the Q&A platform TheQuestion and merged it with its existing Yandex.Znatoki service to form a single community-driven knowledge hub. Designed to offer informational support and user-generated insights on everything from technical issues to lifestyle topics, the platform allowed registered users to ask questions, write detailed answers, and engage with a broad audience in Russian. In June 2023, Yandex shifted Yandex Q into a read-only “content museum,” preserving existing content but ending active participation and new submissions while the company reconsidered strategic priorities for its content-oriented products.
