The Alba Party is a Scottish nationalist and pro-independence political organisation launched in early 2021 with the goal of securing Scotland’s separation from the United Kingdom. Headquartered in Glasgow, the party is guided by its commitment to social justice, environmental responsibility and the creation of a written constitution for an independent Scotland. Launched ahead of the 2021 Scottish Parliament election, it has sought to complement existing pro-independence forces by contesting regional (list) seats. While it has not yet achieved parliamentary representation, the Alba Party is positioned as a key voice in Scotland’s independence movement and aims to build grassroots support for a future referendum.
