Aventura Mall is a major enclosed shopping centre in Aventura, Florida, northeast of Miami. Since its opening in 1983, it has grown into one of the busiest and largest conventional malls in the United States, with more than 300 stores and a gross leasable area of approximately 2.8 million square feet. The mall features a broad mix of luxury boutiques (including labels such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Hermès), premium department-store anchors (Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, JCPenney) and a large food-hall and entertainment component. It is owned and managed principally by Turnberry Associates with a significant ownership stake held by Simon Property Group. Over time the mall has undergone several major expansions and renovations, reinforcing its role as a landmark retail destination in South Florida.
