About the brand ❤️
The Greater Western Sydney Football Club, widely known as the GWS Giants, is a contemporary Australian rules football club representing Greater Western Sydney and nearby regions including Canberra in both the men’s Australian Football League (AFL) and the women’s AFL Women’s (AFLW) competition. Founded in 2009 and making its AFL debut in 2012, the club is headquartered at Sydney Olympic Park in New South Wales, where it trains and plays most of its home fixtures at Sydney Showground Stadium. Operated by Western Sydney Football Club Limited, a non-profit public company, and with structural support from the AFL Commission, GWS Giants were created to expand the sport’s presence in a culturally diverse and rapidly growing region. The club’s colours are orange, charcoal and white, and its identity centers on building football participation, community engagement and elite performance. Since entering the AFL as the league’s newest side, the Giants have progressively improved their competitiveness, reaching their first AFL Grand Final in 2019. Alongside its men’s program, the organisation also fields teams in AFLW and developmental leagues, underlining its commitment to growth, inclusion and long-term success in Australian rules football.
