Harrah’s is an American casino and hotel brand with roots dating to 1937, when William F. Harrah opened a small bingo parlor in Reno, Nevada. The business expanded into a major gaming operation and became publicly listed as Harrah’s Inc. in 1971. After several ownership changes, Harrah’s Entertainment acquired Caesars Entertainment in 2005 and later adopted the Caesars Entertainment name. Today, Harrah’s is one of Caesars Entertainment’s principal casino brands, operating resorts and casinos across the United States and internationally, with properties offering gaming, hotels, dining, entertainment and leisure facilities.
