It was one of the earliest lip care sticks and over time introduced packaging innovations like the sliding tin case (1911) and later twist mechanisms. Labello is marketed globally (in some regions under names like NIVEA Lip Care or Liposan) and is known for caring, protective, moisturizing and sun-protection variants. Beiersdorf produces around 160 million Labello sticks annually.
