About the brand ❤️

Powergen was a British energy company established in 1989 following the restructuring of the electricity generation industry in England and Wales. It became one of the UK's major electricity generators and later expanded into electricity and gas supply through acquisitions, including East Midlands Electricity. E.ON acquired Powergen in 2002, making it part of the German energy group. The Powergen corporate identity was replaced by E.ON UK in 2004, although the name continued to be associated with some UK energy operations for several years before being fully retired.
