Railway Bureau is a Taiwanese government agency under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications responsible for railway-related public works and transportation infrastructure. Established in 2018, it was created by merging the Bureau of High Speed Rail and Railway Reconstruction Bureau. Its responsibilities include planning, construction, engineering management, technical standards, safety and operational supervision for conventional railways, high-speed rail, MRT and other rail transport systems. The bureau also manages railway-related land development and promotes railway technology and industry. It operates nationwide through northern, central, southern and eastern regional engineering offices.
