About the brand ❤️
Staub is a premium French cookware brand founded in 1974 by Francis Staub in the Alsace region of France. Its specialty is enameled cast iron cookware—especially the iconic “cocotte” (French oven)—which combines heavy cast iron with double-glazed enamel to retain heat, distribute it evenly, and create excellent moisture retention under tight lids. Though originally based in Turckheim, its production has since moved to facilities in Merville, but the brand maintains its French manufacturing heritage for its core cast-iron pieces. In June 2008, Staub was acquired by the German group Zwilling J. A. Henckels, but continues to operate as an independent high-end brand. Its products are prized by home cooks and professional chefs alike, and Staub remains active globally, offering a range of cookware, bakeware, and kitchen accessories characterized by durability, craftsmanship, and design.
