Westbahn is a private Austrian railway company providing long-distance passenger services. The company was established in 2008 during the liberalization of the European railway market and began operations in December 2011 with services between Vienna and Salzburg. It has since expanded its network to destinations including Innsbruck, Bregenz, Lindau, Munich and Stuttgart. Since March 2026, Westbahn has also operated services on Austria's southern route connecting Vienna with Graz, Klagenfurt and Villach. The company focuses on comfortable, modern trains, competitive fares and frequent connections.
