Sony ESPN was an Indian sports television channel created through a partnership between Sony Pictures Networks India and ESPN. The channel originated as Sony Kix in 2015 and was rebranded Sony ESPN in January 2016. It broadcast sports programming across India and the wider Indian subcontinent, covering cricket, football, tennis, basketball, badminton, hockey and other sports. The channel also benefited from ESPN’s international sports content and digital expertise. Sony ESPN became part of Sony’s wider sports network following the acquisition of TEN Sports. The channel ceased broadcasting in March 2020 and was replaced by other Sony Sports Network channels.
