Curves (also known as Curves International) is an American women's fitness and wellness franchise founded in 1992 and headquartered in Waco, Texas. Co-founded by Gary and Diane Heavin, Curves pioneered a 30-minute circuit workout combining strength training, cardio, and stretching in a women-friendly environment. It grew rapidly via franchising and became one of the world’s most recognized women-only fitness chains. In 2012, private equity firm North Castle Partners acquired a stake; in 2018, its global ownership was transferred to Koshidaka Holdings of Japan. In 2019, Krishea Holloway, then president of Curves NA & Oceania, acquired the North America/Oceania franchise operations. Curves continues to operate internationally, offering gym locations, virtual workouts (MyCurves On Demand), nutrition programs, and wellness services.
