About the brand ❤️
Fluvius is a major Belgian utility and grid company that operates and manages public infrastructure across all cities and municipalities in the Flemish Region. It was created through the merger of two regional network operators (Eandis and Infrax) on 1 July 2018 and traces its roots back to infrastructure organisations founded as early as 2002. Fluvius builds, maintains, and develops critical utility networks including electricity and natural gas distribution, sewerage systems, public lighting, heat and district heating grids, and fibre-to-the-home telecommunications lines. Headquartered in Melle, Belgium, it employs thousands of people and is owned collectively by Flemish municipalities through intermunicipal associations that fully control the company. Fluvius plays a central role in the region’s energy transition, supporting digital meter rollout, integration of renewable energy, and modernisation of infrastructure to meet future electrical, thermal, and communication needs. Its multi-utility model aims to optimise planning and operation of essential public services while ensuring reliability and safety of supply for millions of connections.
