Real Sociedad de Fútbol, commonly known simply as Real Sociedad or La Real, is a historic Spanish professional football club from San Sebastián in the Basque Country. Founded on 7 September 1909, it received the royal designation (Real) a year later and became one of the founding members of La Liga in 1929. The club plays its home matches at the Anoeta Stadium (also known for sponsorship reasons as Reale Arena).
