Villarreal Club de Fútbol (commonly known as Villarreal CF or simply Villarreal) is a professional Spanish football club founded on 10 March 1923 in the town of Villarreal (Vila-real), in the Valencian Community. The club’s iconic yellow kit has earned it the nickname El Submarino Amarillo (“The Yellow Submarine”).
